Gary Guinazu
Minister of Culture
Gary Guinazu, CSC’s Minister of Culture, is a biker in spirit, a gardener at heart, and a storyteller by nature. With the rugged look of a road warrior and the soft hands of a tomato whisperer, he crafts a sauce so good it makes his wife of 30 years weak in the knees. A lifelong traveler and observer, he shares his humor mixed with philosophy with staff and patients alike, enriching CSC’s community one conversation at a time.
Originally from Hackensack, NJ, Gary built a career in data cabling and fiber optics, owning his own company while working in Manhattan high-rises in the ‘90s. Sensing a shift in the winds, he traded skyscrapers for X-rays, studying radiography in Englewood, NJ (hometown of John Travolta, in case you’re curious). In 2006, he put down roots—both in Raleigh and in his garden—where his work ethic and charisma have become an essential part of CSC’s success.
